Growing up from the time I was four until I was 19 (1957 - 1972), my father took to every Hackettstown vs Roxbury Thanksgiving Day game. They had a tradition much like Pburg vs. Easton. While the tradition ended for most Jersey schools with the playoff process, it is the one tradition I truly miss. Hats off to Pburg and Easton for not following the easy path and losing the wonderful fall tradition: every bit as important as the Turkey and Pumpkin Pie that follows later in the day.

I'm surprised that this is the first entry since P'Burg's win over Easton on Thanksgiving Day 2010. Great game and congratulations to the guys, the coaches and all the staff who made it possible. Way to go!!
